Schogetten is a chocolate brand, manufactured by the chocolate manufacturer Trumpf, which is located in the Western German city of Bergisch-Gladbach.
Trumpf Chocolate was founded in 1857 in Aachen. The chocolate factory is connected with following chocolate manufacturer: Lindt & Sprüngli, Mauxion, and Krüger chocolate group.

The company started to place its advertise on arrowplanes in 1924.

Trumpf employs 1.000 workers and is one of Germans biggest manufactuters for "cheap chocolate".

Schogetten Chocolate is the most famous brand of Trumpf. The special thing about Schogetten is that the chocolate is already cutted into pieces.

I have tried the "Schogetten Halbbitter". This chocolate consists of 50% cocoa and tastes bitter and sweet. Maybe a bit too sweet for a bitter chocolate. Schogetten has also a tight and crunchy bite. The taste is not too bad. For a self-proclaimed "cheap chocolate" even very good. I won't buy Schogetten chocolate in the future, but I am also not disappointed or upset about my experience in that chocolate brand.

I have tried Schogetten specifically the Schoko & Weiss and like it very much. I received it from a friend who just recently went to Germany and brought it back for me. I have been looking around and searching where I could buy it online with no luck. : (

First time I had this was, funnily, in Ibiza when they were still selling the stuff. This was back when I was around ten or something, and it always gives me fond memories of my first time there, when going abroad was completely new for me. As a result, I was pleasantly surprised and awash with nostalgia when I noticed my mam brought this back from Aldi (England) one day, and it’s a regular thing now.
This chocolate’s awesome, and I’ve had a lot of its flavours.

Hi,
As a Zero Waste enthusiast from the UK, I find the Schogetten chocolate in its sustainable packaging an excellent addition to Lidl’s range. Aluminium combination paper is in universal use here. This is anathema to our trend.
Do you have a Christmas range, similarly packed? If so, will it be on sale at Lidl for Christmas or available by post?
It may seem a trivial issue but Zero Waste alternatives are the best way to encourage the changes required for our common sustainable future.
John.

I have an old cardboard musical candy box in the shape of a piano from Trumpf Chocolate. My dad gave it to my mother in the 1940’s. The piano box has 2 legs on it (the 3rd fell off.) When you turn on the music box it plays “It Had To Be You”. You can lift the top of the box and there is a metal stick to hold it up just like a piano. There is also a small metal latch on it to lock it closed. When it was new, there were chocolate in it. The label on the top says it’s made in Western Germany and manufactured by Leonard Monhelm Auchem. It’s over 60 years old. Just wondered if this old box has any value attached to it.

I have recently had a nibble of Schogetten’s delightful chocolate goodness. I am 19 years old but particularly enjoyed the kids version version “with milk”
I feel this chocolate should be mass produced in Britain so that children can enjoy the same chcolate goodness i recently discovered. Kind regards.

I find Schoggetten a most delectable brand of chocolate, I have not had the pleasure of tasting all the varieties of this chocolate, but I am very sure that they all taste lovely. Also I think that the packaging is not wasteful and is very presentable. Plus, the 69p price is excellent value.
Thumbs up to schoggetten!!!:P
